  1. The political left have been playing identity politics for years. This is the reaction to that. Also, when Obama ran we saw a record number of blacks vote. Along with that many social groups vote one way and one way only. So identity politics do play a role.

  2. C Wilson, they saw those individuals as token blacks. It is a play on identity politics that if you are black and are not a democrat you are a token for the right. You can't debunk anything kid.

  3. James, I agree. But Obama being black did push for identity politics. Many on the left made the claim that if you opposed Obama it was because you were racist. Being a democrat and being black motivated more blacks to vote, and it motivated the left to push identity politics by playing the race card.
