Freedom of speech is supposed to be peaceful. This wasn't. This was disruptive.

@Dirtbag Leftist , I am not a hypocrite. If I were to yell loud outside of your window late at night keeping the whole neighborhood awake, including you, is that free speech? If I were to stand in the middle of Congress during the SOTU and yell is that free speech?

@Korean_Autist_AbsoluteMF , depends on how they do it. These kids were disrupting a scheduled event directed towards education on campus. That is not allow. They can schedule their own event if they want, they can't disrupt others.

@Dirtbag Leftist They are similar. These kids were disturbing a scheduled event on campus. That is illegal and is not protected by free speech. You can't disrupt schedule events like that. Ok, what if I were to stand outside of a college classroom door and yell loud distracting the class? Is that allowed?

@pugnuspopuli1311 , I don't because than you cause chaos where the loudest person can silence others. Consider someone giving a speech where a group comes and just causes noise to silence the speaker, is that productive? No. Let that person speak and if someone disagrees those individuals can set up a speech to say what they want to say. There are civil ways in handling this.

@themajesticspider-man6116 , there is as these students are being charged with a crime. That is the point. The students broke the law. That is the default. For example, my university has no actual policy written for rape, that is because rape is illegal so there is no need for the university to have one.

Johnny Guillotine , it isn't different. In your home you expect a level of peace to do what you please. In a schedule event you expect a level of peace to do what you want to do. If I am teaching a class I expect the environment to have limited disruption so I am able to teach. If I am at my home I expect a level of quietness so I can sleep at night. They are similar situations.
3
Johnny Guillotine , it isn't different. In both cases you are being disruptive. You can't target a classroom where a schedule event is taking place and be disruptive. That is illegal, period. If it weren't than we will have mass chaos.
3
It doesn't violate the first. They were disruptive which is illegal.

It is amazing how dumb people are here. This action is not protected by free speech or freedom of protest. The constitution says "peaceably to assemble". This was not peaceful as they were disrupting a scheduled event on campus. You can't disrupt scheduled events like this.
2
@dannyhealer , there is a level of disruption. Marching the public streets is legal as you are not disrupting any scheduled event by targeting it. Shutting down traffic is disruptive. Also, you can protest without disruption like holding a schedule rally.
2
Johnny Guillotine , if that is so than I disagree with that action. I don't agree with shutting down streets and that should be illegal. If you are referring to the Charlottesville event there are two points there 1. When told to leave by law enforcement they did 2. And at times they had a permit to be there
2
Johnny Guillotine , what am I afraid of? Tell me.
2
@themajesticspider-man6116 , it wasn't as it was disruptive. https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/peace "Freedom from disturbance; tranquillity."
2
@elizabethsmusicandarts1590 , they were disrupting an event, that is not peaceful.

The far left like Kyle and his fans support open borders.

@dannyhealer , as for Trump's comments, that person was disrupting an event and security was not doing their job. That person was trespassing where you can use physical force to remove people like that.
1
Johnny Guillotine , what makes you think I will be outraged? Now you are making assumptions about me. If someone gets a permit than fine, they can hold a rally.
