  2. While atheism itself is not a religion people do treat it as such. " Atheists rightfully criticize bad ideas, namely religion" How is a religion a bad idea? " and they are rarely beaten in debate with science" A debate involving the issues of science and religion is like a debate involving the issues of cupcakes and Ford pickups. They are two unrelated things where neither one trumps or replaces another.

  3. All science is physics and stamp collecting. Dawkins is a stamp collector where actual scientists (physicists ) see those individuals as inferior. How does Dawkins feel about his career being offended?

  7. While I supported a lot of what Hitchens did and said, I felt like his book "god Is not Great" was rather lame on his part. I was disappointed when he dropped down to that level.

I agree. I didn't get that feeling reading Hitchens' book. I had to write a 15 page paper response on it and that is what I initially started out with that basically it is the only problem I have with Hitchens. In short I completely agree with out.

  11. +Sean Armstrong Inspired how? I recently had a discussion about Dawkins with my colleagues (who are physicists ) about Dawkins. We agreed, he has become a troll and is meaningless in science these days. He was ok 30 some years ago, but he hasn't done any actual science since. He is basically a Glenn Beck, great mind but crazy.
