  1. Bernie would not have won. All Trump had to do was show how high taxes would have been under him and he would have gotten stomped, just like how single payer did not pass in Vermont and Colorado.

  2. SiCk SiDer Bernie had to foreign policy plan. Bernie's immigration plan was high unfavorable.  But, in the end, all Trump had to do was show people how high their taxes would have gone up and people would have ran away from Bernie.

  3. George Hayes Bernie would have raised taxes on everyone which would have scared away a lot of people. Also, military spending has been cut for years, it isn't that high.

  4. George Hayes Military, in terms of percent of GDP, has been going down.  Yes, we spend more than the next 7 countries combine.  Our GDP is also more than those 7 countries combine, so that only makes sense.

SiCk SiDer He has no plan.  The bigger question is how will he provide it?  We lack professors, TAs, tutors, dorms, classrooms, lab equipment and so on.  We lack the resources to provide "free college".  With healthcare we lack doctors, nurses, surgeons and so on.  But somehow Bernie feels this will all save money? If you have no one to provide those goods and services to people then they can't get it, period.

  6. George Hayes In order to recruit from abroad you have to pay them more.  Also, if those "clever" people don't want to do those jobs than they won't do it. Becoming a doctorate is stressful.

  7. George Hayes Other countries limit the number of students who can attend.  If the government feels you are not smart enough to attend college than they won't allow you to attend college. In the US we accept almost anyone.

  10. George Hayes Uh, no they aren't. We are short TAs in my university to where we are putting warm bodies in front of students. They can't teach but they are there.
