+Eero Haapala Actually several conservatives have used facts and data show how Bernie's policies simply won't work.

+Eero Haapala Look up the Wall Street Journal in how it will cost $18 trillion over 10 years. Now look how much income the top 1% earn and how much we spend already as a country. I use this very complex and bias thing called math that showed if you tax all the income the 1% earn it still won't cover for the cost.
2
+dipojones Actually it hasn't been debunked.

+Nicholas Krizov You should want Chowder's video. He breaks down the numbers of Bernie's policies.

+Keegan Beyer It brings up a point I have been saying for a while, and now the media is starting to bring up. How is Bernie going to pay for all of this? How high is he going to raise taxes? People are going to start demanding hard numbers, if he can't provide them then he is going to lose.

+Nicholas Krizov Way to be myopic. Simply put, the Wall Street Journal said that Bernie's plan will add $18 trillion to the debt over the next 10 years. Nobody has really debunked that number. He went on to show that if you follow Bernie's plan to the extreme, of cutting the military spending and raising taxes on the "rich" then you still won't pay for it. If you cut all defense spending that will stop $6 trillion in spending over 10 years. If you tax every dollar of the 10%, which are households that earn over $150,000/yr (and even Bernie admits that we have to tax more than just the 1%), that will generate revenue of around $6 trillion over 10 years. That is $12 trillion, still short of the $18 trillion. And again, this is going to the extreme case which everyone knows won't work.

+Rob McCune He still won't come close to earning enough revenue to pay for his programs. We will just be building up on the debt. At that point why raise taxes? Why not just build up on the debt even more?

+Kyle M Where do you get those numbers?
1
+Rob McCune It is estimated that his policies will cost $18 trillion over 10 years. If you tax the 1%, who are people who earn over $380,000 (not millionaires) of all of their money that will develop $16 trillion over ten years. So I was slightly off. But that will not cover our expenses. And that is making the false assumption that the 1% will be working for free.
1
+Rob McCune I got my numbers from IRS data.

It is easy to make fun of a fool like Alex Jones. Ok, now discuss these videos The Truth About Bernie Sanders by Stefan Molyneux Bernie Sanders' Plan Debunked by Steven Chowder Do I support those individuals? No. But they do break down some of Bernie's policies. Now it is your turn.

+dipojones Ok, what study?

+ccmanize Ok, show me.

+Paul Romano Paul Krugman is against price control like the min. wage. He has a nice way of explaining it how inefficient they can become in his AP Economics Textbook.
