That is obvious, but there is more to it than that. 1. Most unwanted pregnancies happen in areas of low income which involve people who are less responsible and less educated. You can't necessarily say they will use the contraceptives properly. 2. This study does not consider the risk of STDs. How many women will stop using condoms when they start using the pill?

"The problem is the anti abortion people don't believe in sex education, condoms, health clinics. " Not true.

"A lot of people think that birth control is murder. " Not true. They just don't want the government funding your birth control.

What is your standard for "a lot". As far as I see very little are against birth control or feel it is murder. Also, what makes you think that money going to birth control will actually solve anything? Most unwanted pregnancies happen in areas of low income where people don't know how to use contraceptives to begin with. Same with STD infections. It isn't as simple as spending money on birth control and everything is all better.

Again, what is your standard for "a lot". " Kyle talked about this in the video. When people are born they have to be taken care of" I agree. "If parents are not in a position to do that or given an option to terminate - it will fall to the government and local community" With the system we have that is the case. "YOU SAVE money by controlling population growth and making sure that people have the option (regardless of socioeconomic status) for family planning" And they do in two ways. 1. Abstinence 2. Condoms which are readily available to the point they are basically free. Access to birth control is not the problem. The pill is cheap and morning after pills are not that expensive. The problem is people not using contraceptives correctly, or not at all even though they have access to them. "that's very common in places where religious zealotry has a hold on local government," I don't see what religion has to do with this. But, put it like this. K-12 education is available to all in all 50 states. Around 12% of natural born US citizens do not have a high school diploma despite having access to a high school education. The poverty rate in the US is around 15%. Birth control is easy to obtain as, for the most part, it is affordable and free in many cases. The issue is simply ignorance on how to use it or just them refusing to use it at all. Access is not the problem.

"As a taxpayer, I am perfectly okay with my money being spent on contraceptives, abortion, and for that matter, food for poor folks" Ok, that pass that policy at your state and local level. You may be OK with it, if others are than pass it in your community. That is how the country is designed.

Condoms are essentially free. People get pregnant due to irresponsibility, not lack of access. I question this study in many ways.

There is more to it than what is being told. 1. Most unwanted pregnancies involve people who reside in low income areas who are typically less educated and less responsible. What makes you think they will use the contraceptives properly? 2. How does this work for STDs? How many girls will not use condoms knowing they are on the pill and just have sex?
1
Lance, not necessarily. Sex education is already taught in schools. Issue is you have kids with single parents or who both parents work, or kids who have low attendance in school and thus don't get the education they need. So it isn't as easy as "sex education".

I question this study as 1. Condoms are basically free 2. People get pregnant due to irresponsibility. Rate of teenage pregnancies is higher in areas of higher poverty for a reason. Yes, we should educate people on sex, but just giving away birth control is not necessarily the answer as little suggests that they will use it properly to begin with. Also, there is the argument that the rate of STDs can rise because many will refuse to use condoms when they are no the pill.

While it is true most STDs are curable, if not treated they can lead to long term problems which brings up the issue on if these individuals know the symptoms of STDs.
1
Not true. There is a reason why liberal ideas lost this past election.
