  2. There is a point here. Many are freaking out of the new cases while ignoring that hospitalizations and deaths are still low and/or dropping. The idea of the lock downs was never to stop the spread but to put our healthcare in a position to handle the virus and giving care to people who need it where low risk people can stay home. But now our leaders and media are going from relieving the healthcare system to trying to stop the spread.

  3. It was never about the spread of the virus but more of setting up the healthcare system so it can take on patients that need help. Consider this, April 24 was when we peaked in new cases at around 39,000, since then we have dropped to being as low as around 24,000 recently.. That is less than 50%. During that same time the deaths peaked around 2100 and are now around 400 a day, a drop of around 80%. The fact was the whole idea of locking down was to place our healthcare system in a position to take on patients who need care and learning more about the virus to know who really needs care and who doesn't. We are in that position. Now is the time to have the virus spread to push for herd immunity.

  4. He has a point. The whole idea of the lock down was never to stop the spread but relieve the healthcare system that will lead to less deaths. We are there. Even with more cases deaths and hospitalizations are low. My state has just seen record numbers of cases but hospitalizations are low still. But now people are changing their narrative of it is spreading too fast and we need to basically stop the spread.
