Maybe we should have read this law before we passed it to see what was in it.

To them they have to pass a law to see what is in it.

President_Sheogorath So indoctrination, great job comrade.

President_Sheogorath Nope, you just want to brainwash people to think like you. Some of the most corrupt and murderous leaders had the exact same idea, such as Joseph Stalin or Pol Pot.

President_Sheogorath The founding fathers were very open minded. They ran into a lot of problems when developing this country which is why they created state rights. The idea was to have the states run domestic policies within the confines of the constitution. That is being open minded. What you want is to create a country will everyone thinks the same and is the same. It is actually a great way in developing what society perceives to be a Utopia, but is terrible in that we see limited progress and growth and is questionable in terms of morality.

President_Sheogorath Their ideals are not old. What they pushed for was control of the government. The 2nd amendment was just that, to give citizens the ability to prevent tyranny. Just like the 1st amendment were to be used to allow people to voice their opinions and hate towards the government. If you support limiting the 2nd amendment than you should support limiting free speech as well meaning that a lot of these comments on Youtube, and this show in itself would most likely cease to exist. There is nothing old about establishing control over the government.

President_Sheogorath If you hate the 2nd amendment than you hate free speech in that both are crucial in controlling the federal government. The problem is that we have allowed the federal government to grow in power and it is being corrupted by corporations. We wouldn't have this problem if the federal government didn't have so much power and more powers were given back to the states. The basis of the constitution was to spread the powers of the government to give the citizens the ability to control it. There is no reason to change the constitution, what we need to do is follow the basic idea of the constitution.

President_Sheogorath So that is your final argument, to call me a troll and laugh. No wonder you have no understanding of the constitution and how the country was designed. Good luck trying to indoctrinate everyone.

President_Sheogorath But the constitution isn't outdated. It was designed to give US citizens the ability to control the governments because it was limitations on the government. That isn't outdated and should remain strong. People point to the 2nd amendment in a dire attempt to try to prove that the constitution is outdated due to firearms being more powerful than in the past. That argument fails to be consistent when the people making it, like yourself, refuse to acknowledge that technology has made it easier for people to use free speech and press. So should we change that? Free speech has more power than guns. Free speech can be used to raise masses to cause destruction. If you think the constitution is outdated than what should it include or what should change. We can start with that and I can give you a proper rebuttal if one is needed.

President_Sheogorath The fact that local officials have access to weapons and the federal government has a standing army increases the needs to arms. The idea of the militia was that the people will have the ability to revolt against the state and local governments and the states would have the ability to revolt against the fed. Read what the founding fathers said about guns and militia and a standing army.

President_Sheogorath We try our best to remain civil, but we should always have the option of using violent force when all peaceful methods fail.
