Withtheseprovisions Libraries exist in most areas so yes, education is free.

C W , terrible comparison. To become a doctor you go through training.

charmander , Kyle is a child. I feel he is becoming worse. Some of his recent videos have him talking in annoying voices. To me, the far left movement is failing and people like Kyle are losing it. I feel when Trump wins in 2020 Kyle views will drop a ton and Ana will quit TYT. Those are two predictions I am making.

Healthcare is not a right.

@minskghoul 1. Making college tuition free does devalue a college degree. The value of college is that you are making an investment as an adult. You find a way to get into college and accomplish the long term goal of earning a degree. If you make it tuition free you create easy access to it in which it loses value. People have this false idea that college is an extension to high school. The lady there brought up K-12. The reality is that college is vastly different compared to high school. 2. Wall Street speculation taxes have failed. 3. From Bernie's own site "Under the College for All Act, the federal government would cover 67% of this cost, while the states would be responsible for the remaining 33% of the cost" Also "Also, without student debt graduates will have much higher disposable income and higher net" That leads to inflation. 4. European universities are not as strong as US ones. There is a reason why the US has the highest enrollment of international students. Also, there is simply a completely different culture in Europe. As pointed out in the book "Debunking Utopia" people from Nordic nations who come to the US are still successful. And it comes down to what employers value. According to eurostat employment for those who graduated with a tertiary education was around 83%, in the US, according to NCES, it was around 86%. 5. Paying off student loans does reward bad behavior. What it does is creates entitlement that when someone messes up they can just beg for a handout from the government where people who were responsible are the ones paying.

@Turambar_499 , poor comparison.

@Turambar_499 , to become a doctor you go through training.

@gruetwo3424 , I get the guys point. If you want to be educated resources exist everywhere now. Education is on the individual. College is an investment. The reason why a college degree looks good on a resume is because college is an investment you make as an adult. It shows employers you are willing to invest to accomplish a long term goal. Anyone can look things up. I know a lot of very knowledgeable individuals. College is about the investment.

@Shalott99 , there are plenty of programs that help those in poverty go to college. I have watched plenty of Kyle's videos. He has no insight on the issues. He gives one fact and then goes on a strong, appeal to emotion rant giving shallow arguments. Youtuber Stephen Michael Davis has great videos on him. Again, there are plenty of programs to help people in poverty attend college.

@timothyterdin5725 , Bernie has never accomplished anything. Bernie's plan is to have everyone else work while he enjoys his three homes and millions. Seriously, what has Bernie ever accomplished? He has never ran a charity, or fund raiser, or business, etc. By how much he can gather at rallies you think he will fun a fundraiser for a good cause. He doesn't. He sells his book and pockets the money. To me Bernie reminds of Brian of Family Guy. In the episode where Quagmire rips on Brian at one point he says that Brian is all about helping the poor but he never volunteers at homeless shelters. As Quagmire said, want to help, grab a ladle. Bernie has never done that.

She avoided the question. He has a point. Bernie is trying to buy votes by saying "I will pay for X, Y and Z for you". Also, college is an investment you make as an adult. You can't compare it to K-12.
1
C W , colleges are not challenging students anymore. So is that trustworthy? I mean, look at AOC, economics degree and didn't know who John Maynard Keynes was.
1
@baronbeefcake4701 "Unless you think that buying a 500 dollar textbook you'll barely use is fair?" That is part of the problem. People who go to college are not actually reading their books. And you want to make it "free"?
1
@killerbee2562 , no. Instead I have 5 peer reviewed papers, I teach several students, and I am working on my dissertation. I have published work that added knowledge to the scientific community. What has Kyle done?
1
@whyispinkysoinsane7898 , you are failing bud.
1
College is an investment you make as an adult. If you get rid of the tuition part of it you make a college degree worthless as anyone now has easy access to it.
1
It is a solid argument that many politicians have tried. Many politicians have ran on the idea of "when I become in power I will pay for your things!". It is a tactic to buy votes.
1
@thenightingale7405 , exactly. I can see many supporting Bernie because he will pay for their things. It is a greedy approach.
1
@thenightingale7405 , yeah, almost no one will work with Bernie. To me I feel Bernie will not care, he is running for president to gain money to leave his kids with something when he dies.
1
Our culture is vastly different.
1
@joshuasalem5022 , you can't say that. The US does many things well. Our culture have a lot of differences. People in the US won't accept higher taxes like those nations do. Also, we have the NCAA to account for. But again, saying their culture is better than ours is very asinine. I don't see drug companies in those nations donating money, time and medication to developing nations. US ones do.
1
@timothyterdin5725 , no because what have you proven? A college is an investment. You need to get into med school first.
1
@richardmancha1612 , ok, now what has he done outside of politics? Nothing. It is easy to run one's mouth and spend other people's money.
1
@richardmancha1612 , his book sold well because of his name only, not because of content. A head start teacher? Really? I substitute teach, there is no difference. An aide? Not much. World on the street was that he was a bad carpenter. What film? And what published articles?
1
@richardmancha1612 , yes, what has he done to help the poor. Running one's mouth is not doing things. With how many he attracts to his rallies why doesn't he run a fundraiser? The reason is because he only cares about himself.
1
@richardmancha1612 , face it, your boy Bernie has not accomplished anything. He had to steal electricity from his neighbor because he was not earning enough money. Thus he went into politics. Same with AOC, she failed and could not get a job beyond bartending, so she became a politician.
1
@richardmancha1612 , he could not pay his electric bill so he stole it. That shows his true nature. That is why he became a career politician, he could not make it in life.
1
@richardmancha1612 , what has he done for poverty? Protesting? Big deal. Again, what charities has he ran or become involved in? Again, Bernie wants everyone else to work while he sits back and enjoy his millions. Talk is cheap. Actions speak louder.
