  2.  Vox Populi  not true. In many small towns you can afford a one bedroom apartment off of the min. wage. But beyond that there is a lot more to it. You have it situation of roommates, multiple jobs, etc.

  4. Kyle's understanding of economics is poor. Raising wages does not mean more income for people if hours are cut. Also, many jobs do not exist right now because the government shut down the economy.

  5.  @jakedemedeiros9978  easy. Setting a min. wage does not mean more income as you are not setting how much is paid per week but instead per hour. Many business owners do not put all their eggs in one basket. Someone could own, say 12 McDonalds and have 6 of them being open 24 hours. If the min. wage is increased they can decide to only have 4 of them being 24 hours where those working night shift in the other 2 now have their hours cut. As is less than 10% of min. wage workers work full time to begin with. The simple fact is that businesses cannot afford higher wages. You are exposing how bad Canadian universities are.

  7.  @jakedemedeiros9978  how does it go against wage laws? Wage laws dictate how much is paid per hour, not per week. Again, a company can just cut hours if they so desire. And it appears that I am making a much better argument against you.
