K-12 is a drop in the bucket in terms of cost. K-12 is far less complex. K-12 is also ran and funded locally.

Justin Nelson your anecdotal situation does not represent the norm.

The economy is doing better. The only people who are not doing better either can't admit that they are or are simply lazy.

Janusha , the stat you give is typical. That is mainly due to poor money management.

If only it was that easy. Here is the reality, it isn't.

Yes, but according to Bernie and his fans they will "retrain" them for other jobs and those people will be willing to just do that and move to a new location, no problem.

Yeah, but on the flip side our advanced care is way better than other nations. In that Commonwealth Study Kyle points at (which they are a private special interest group) they admit the US is higher in cancer survival rates but leave that out in their analysis.

@mynewchanel , I seen this video, he is vague in what he says. To start, I will agree that Crowder is not that great when arguing against healthcare. To start, he talks about outcomes and access. The US has the highest access when it comes to advanced care and thus have better outcomes in advanced illnesses. Crowder is correct, though, that there are ways to save money such as reusing needles. Most on the left say M4A is cheaper but ignore quality and access. Other nations lack in access to advanced care which is how other nations save money, they cap how much care one receives and in some cases their outcomes are poor.

@JENTHINKSO , no, because you just can't cancel debt like that. Also, medical debt is grossly overstated. Even if you cancel medical debt most will still be at a high risk of bankruptcy.

@JENTHINKSO ,you can't cancel wealth as a lot of wealth is not liquidated.

Not to be rude but when it comes to the elderly this is where healthcare becomes very tricky. Same with the very sick. One reason why healthcare is so expensive in the US is that we treat the very sick where other nations don't. Under Medicare the most expensive time is during the last 6 months of a person's life. Medicare also have a 40% less payout rate. Thus the difference has to be made up somewhere. Thus little things like a band aid cost hundreds of dollars.

Because a government run system is worse in many ways. Especially for what our culture expects.
