Read the book "Why We Disagree About Climate Change" by Prof. Mike Hulme. This issue is complex. No one denies climate change, they doubt how if it is a threat, the solutions are complex, and how much man plays a role is in question.

@EconomicNotes36 , if someone cannot justify earning a higher wage maybe they should die. See how easy it is to make asinine statements?

@xjarheadjohnson , read the book "Why We Disagree About Climate Change" by prof. Mike Hulme. The issue is complex.

A great book is "Why We Disagree About Climate Change" by Prof. Mike Hulme. The issue is complex. Notice how Bernie does not give an actual solution? He simply says a "just transition" and has talking points such as "every scientist" but names none. Bernie has no clue what he is talking about or is pushing to destroy this nation.
2
@rafaelrondon2854 , they do have the ability to save. You saying they will spend their money immediately shows why they are poor, they lack money management skills.
2
Justin, do you have any examples of Crowder being dishonest?
2
@julioochoa4392 , if someone can't justify earning a higher wage maybe they should be poor. There, fixed your comment.
2
@benjaminfox2630 , the economy is driven by production.
2
@benjaminfox2630 , no, production drives the economy. You can't consume what you don't produce.

Pretty much Bernie in a nutshell.

People who would work low level jobs are teenagers just entering the market, retirees looking for busy work, and someone working a part time job either as a second job or they have a spouse and want extra money. More people having degrees is great for the economy as they can do more productive work and drive prices down. For example, if we had more doctors healthcare would be cheaper.

Bernie says the negatives are "republican talking points".

@jamesdoe7605 , let me ask you this. Say you ran a business selling computers and the government gives people in your town $1000 to buy a computer from your store. What will you do? You will jack up prices. Government subsidizes typically cause price increases as you are increasing demand. That is what the student loan program did. It is not all government's fault. Colleges have improves a lot compared to K-12 education. University campuses are very beautiful, have advanced technology, has many amenities such as gyms, dining halls, study halls, etc. That cost money. But another factor are the subsidizes.

1. If people don't make rational decisions then why not have a big government control our life? If you are so desperate you will take any job out there than that is your problem you need to fix. 2. The simple fact is work harder. Find a way. Very successful people hardly slept in their younger days. 3. Nothing is ideal. Define "acting rationally"? Also, if someone makes a mistake, should I pay for it? b) Even the most conservative people support government forcing businesses to be transparent c) same as point b. d) same as point b. Forcing companies to be transparent costs them nothing. 4. 100% false. A lot of countries have no min. wage. Also, define "live relatively comfortably". That is subjective. 5. Define a "decent wage". I feel you rather use vague statements as opposed to understand economics.
1
@VenomTheDemon , the rich places their money in stocks and banks which is than liquidated and used in investment. Look up the inverted pyramid with banks and loans. Saying the rich don't spend their money is 100% false.

Bernie parents were poor so I doubt they paid taxes. This is why Bernie supports what he does, he never had to pay or work for anything.
1
K-12 education if ran and funded locally. Bernie does not admit that. Bernie leaves a lot of information out on his plans.
1
The problem with Bernie's tuition free college is that it ignores many issues that will arise from it. With tuition free college how do you account for the NCAA? That is one very simple point that is actually very complex. Hickenlooper was right, Bernie wants to throw a plan out there and have others pick up the pieces.

Never, Kyle does not leave his bubble.

Kyle never leaves his bubble. He is very dishonest.

@za-ir5ni , Mike Hulme worked for the IPCC and does not deny climate change.

George Arndt , rational thinking in that I cite a book from an expert where Bernie simply says "every scientists" but does not name a single one. Here http://www.populartechnology.net/2009/10/peer-reviewed-papers-supporting.html

@masonalcorn2282 , I debate far leftists all the time. I suggest you watch videos by Stephen Michael Davis, they are well thought out with sources. That is completely different than far leftists on youtube with talking points. Bernie here simply said "every scientist" but names none where I can point to many resources that will counter his argument http://www.populartechnology.net/2009/10/peer-reviewed-papers-supporting.html But besides that Bernie supporters still defend him.

The idea of technology replacing workers has been discussed for years. Watch the Twilight Zone episode "The Brain Center at Whipple's".

100%. If you look at average hourly earnings and productivity they are right in line with each other. Also, higher productivity means cheaper goods and services that are better which is essentially a wage increase as well.
1
@Khay-77 , so Bernie did not pay over time? Either way I see both him being a hypocrite.
1
@elite6321 , so Bernie did not pay over time?
1
@nospoilers , Bernie's healthcare plan raises payroll taxes which will increase cost on businesses. Also, many small businesses don't offer healthcare to their employees.
1
@Khay-77 , Bernie supported paying salary workers over time https://www.sanders.senate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/sanders-welcomes-new-overtime-rules-for-overworked-employees He is a hypocrite.
1
@nospoilers , uh, that isn't how ti works.
1
@nospoilers , in the UK you have people going blind because they are denied eye surgery. Reality is that under Bernie's plan something has to give. You can't add 30+ million people to the healthcare chasing after healthcare that we offer now and not have prices be way out of the roof. Bernie's counter to that is to lower payments by cutting it down 40%. If you do that quality and access will drop. Something has to give.
1
@benjaminfox2630 , there is always a demand for better goods and services. Did Apple produce the Iphone because people had more money? No. They produced it because it was a very good product. Overtime the price of the iPhone dropped. A company will push to produce better goods and services at a lower price to attract more customers.
1
The question is has a factory job ever been meant to live off of? The time period Bernie talks about was after WWII when we were the economic powerhouse of the world. Watch youtuber Stephen Michael Davis, he has great videos on these topics and really not enough.
