People who would work low level jobs are teenagers just entering the market, retirees looking for busy work, and someone working a part time job either as a second job or they have a spouse and want extra money. More people having degrees is great for the economy as they can do more productive work and drive prices down. For example, if we had more doctors healthcare would be cheaper.

  3. 100%. If you look at average hourly earnings and productivity they are right in line with each other. Also, higher productivity means cheaper goods and services that are better which is essentially a wage increase as well.
