  1. That is not because of Amazon. Homeless problems are much more complex. Of course bringing in an HQ of a major company will drive up home prices. But you need to look long run. That means more property taxes for schools, more intelligent people with kids who motivate other kids making kids' lives better. And better economy overall. The problem with the far left is they are not dynamic enough. They don't look long term. Yes, the HQ staying out of VA will mean home prices will be low, but so will the overall quality of life.   3.  @jackiek710  , I watched the video, Amazon created zero jobs there. That is the point. Yes, other companies created jobs, now imagine how much more growth would exist with Amazon.

  4. The increase home prices will not lead to higher homeless rates. The idea that home prices are going up is fine. That leads to higher property taxes and better schools. Yes, some low income people will initially see an increase in rent, but in the long run the entire economy will be better. I love how economically illiterate the left is when it comes to economics. You can remain stagnate or you can push for growth. Take your pick.
