  2. +john carlisle Saying fracking causes earthquakes is a huge stretch. Does it, in a small way possibly, but in a small way. Canada has been doing fracking for a few decades now. The area where they frack they have, in the same time period, seen around the same number of earthquakes but of much small magnitude. So no, it is not a "proven fact" as you claim. Fracking does not poison water either. Methane has been getting into water for decades long before fracking. If there is methane in your drinking water that is your water plant's fault. Fracking comes with risks, but so does driving. The risks are minute, especially when compared to the reward. You can either take the extreme route and ban it based off of nothing but fear mongering. Doing so will kill jobs and hurt the economy. Or you can allow fracking to happen accepting the risks are almost non-existence especially when proper regulations established at the local level are in place. But overall the fear mongering stories you are trying to bring up about fracking are unjustified.

  3. +Pat Andler There are risks with fracking, but they are minimal and can be essentially avoided with local regulations (and not that many). The rewards of fracking are great. There are not horror stories related to fracking. Earthquakes happen, methane has been in drinking water for decades before fracking.

  6. +myrasmama I have done research, fracking has not done anything bad at all. I agree that we need to wean off of fossil fuels, but we can't use fear mongering in doing so.
