And I, of course, forgot to tell you, that, just like the Witcher, this game is also based on a book. A book of Russian writers. That are, unlike the Witcher's one, completely forgotten by this now Polish studio (identifying as Ukrainian for some reason).
It's always so much fun to spread lies, starting with the "Russians can't buy it". While even here, on YT, you can see a plethora of Russian streamers with Stalker2 playthroughs.

Youtube itself is trying to block all the non-offical apps for more than a month. And of course, it's not in Russia but worldwide practice. Look at, for example, yt-dlp "releases" page, poor guys have to update almost everyday since the 1st of July to dodge youtube's own censorship.
On the other hand, there are no russian officials, except for a single dubious parliamentarian, who puts the blame on Russia.
Nearly every trick you can possibly make to your Internet connection take to allegedly avoid detection by the evil Russian ISPs, will also affect YT itself, do it's actually unclear whose efforts to degrade the video quality you are trying to overcome.
Needless to say that the official YT app works just fine, visually struggling with only some of the un-trendy videos - that actually may be not downloaded properly due to degraded CDN network.
