  1. Instead of puzzling over how to make brine disappear, why not using them as a decorative substitute of water in urban planning? Even in the most tropical conditions brine would keep nearly sterile like the Dead Sea, nothing that can grow in brine can possibly harm humans. It is also almost impossible to drown in brine, making it much safer for use in public places. Electricians could use the artificial .. uhm... brine bodies for grounding, where the soil itself has poor conductivity. The obvious downside is that brine is a lot more corrosive and would spread salt dust all over the area, but it also may be used to make urban areas unpleasant for dangerous insects.
