  1. Actually, neonicotinoids are a silver bullet against the Colorado potato beetle (thus vital for potato farming). The total ban of them is not a great decision either. They just need to be used properly, by etching the tubers before planting and eliminating any form of spraying in the air. This helps that chemicals to decay long before they can pose any threat to bees.
