Surah al-'Alaq is the first chapter to be revealed. What was Muhammad being asked to read? What is the book that existed before the Quran that Muhammad was asked to read? Didn't the individual who asked Muhammad to read know that Muhammad was illiterate? Was this being not divine or sent by a divine being???

@thatbloke4335 If it was deleted, then show us the original. How do you know it was deleted if you don't have the original? The fact is Muhammad did not know the difference between the Torah and the Prophets, and he thought Isaiah is part of the Torah. Let's look at that prophecy... Isa 29:11 And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed: 12 And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned. Muhammad also missed the verse prior to the ummi part, where the book is given to one who is learned and said he could not read because the book is SEALED. One of the blunders of the great prophet of Islam... So...why is Muhammad asked to read if there is nothing for him to read and he is illiterate?
