Jesus Christ! What on earth are we going to do? Even if we stopped driving cars, flying planes, producing power, or just plain live the way we do, there is no time left to affect what's happening. This radical change in the climate has been predicted for years. First they said it would take 100 years for the earth to go over the top. Then 50 years. Then 25 years. And now they won't even be honest with us because the data is too horrifying to release to the public - and even if they did, 50 percent of the public wouldn't believe it anyway. There's no going back. We've already gone over the limit and even if we stopped everything, I would take 1,000 years to undo the damage.

I think we all need to keep a gallon of vodka and a bottle of Xanax near at hand and to hell with "wellness" and all that rot. The world is on it's way to being uninhabitable, and with the Russians willy-nilly bombing one of the world's largest nuclear power plants, we just don't have much to look forward to. Stop breeding children. Stop worrying about the future, because there is none. Eat, drink and be merry, as the saying goes. Because we've destroyed our world and get to watch it disintegrate before our very eyes in real time. We'll all be dead, but Nature will simply reshuffle her cards and go on without us. We'll be nothing but a failed biological experiment like the reptiles of our past, won't we?

I moved back to Sioux Falls, SD to take care of my aging parents. After they passed, I inherited the house and thought of selling it and moving back to Texas. However, Houston is now too hot and floods frequently. I also despise the right-wing politics. So, I decided to stay in Sioux Falls. We may have a tornado warning or severe storm every once in a while, but because of climate change we don't have many blizzards like I experienced when I was a child. In short, this is a very safe place that is growing fast because people are coming here from the South and the coasts. It's affordable and convenient for medical services, retail and anything else we might need. Come check it out.

Republicans will never let go of fossil fuels, so this positive scenario will simply never happen and the worst will take place. Half of them are totally ignorant and if they have even taken the time from putting Confederate flags on their bumpers, they will still not believe what is happening before their eyes. The elite will simply take their private jets to a higher place, leaving the poor to drown. My sad opinion is, despite politics, and even we could create a non-fossil fuel world, the water will continue to rise for at least a century. Several billion people will have to die of famine, drowning, or land war. We've left our grandchildren to live in a terrible place.

I've come to the conclusion that any attempts to lessen the terrible results from climate change have already passed us by. Scientists have been warning of this since the 1980s but nothing has been done about it. The northern hemisphere will never stop adding CO2 to the atmosphere, and the southern hemisphere is doomed to starve. Billions of people are destined to die. Sure, the First World can build solar panels and create electric cars, but the Third World will never be able to match us, and we will all continue pouring more and more pollutants into the sea and the atmosphere. Anyone throwing fairy dust on this outcome is lying to you. I'm glad I don't have children because it would kill me to think of the dystopian future they will have.
