The professor is conveniently forgetting that India, Pakistan and Bangladesh were one country till 1947 and the Hindus were never asked whether we wanted partition of India or not. Nobody can understand India until and unless they understand this history.

@TingTong2568 India was never a British colony like Caribbean or Africa. The British government formed alliances with almost 600 Indian monarchies. Since Western people don’t understand this they always make mistakes about Indian subcontinent

@meetbarvadiya5059 India was united by religion and caste system. All the Hindu kings were from the same caste and had marital relations with each other. It was not a modern nation state but it is wrong to say that India was not a nation till 1947. Only someone without any knowledge of Hindu religion and caste system can speak like this.

@meetbarvadiya5059 Partition of India was done on the basis of religion. Muslim League said that Indian Muslims can never live together with Indian Hindus therefore India should be divided between Muslim and Hindu people and the Muslim nation should be called Pakistan. The British government accepted this demand of the Muslim League and never asked the Hindus whether we wanted partition of India or not. Even the British government would disagree with your comment.

@TingTong2568 I will always trust the stories told by my now deceased ancestors over any other “research”. I will pass on the stories of my deceased ancestors to all those near and dear to me so that they can differentiate between books written by politically biased historians and the living wisdom of deceased ancestors.

@TingTong2568 The Arya Samajis were themselves treated as pariahs in Hindu society when they started out in North India. They gained mainstream acceptance in Hindu society only when they started fighting against Muslims in Punjab.

@karimmaasri1723 My family taught me my religion and my history very well.

@TingTong2568 My parents and grandparents lived in British period. I have learned from the stories they told me. I have first hand knowledge not bookish knowledge. You can throw as many books at me as you want and I will confidently reject them all because all of your books are biased towards the political views of their authors

@meetbarvadiya5059 The so-called Princely States were actually kingdoms ruled by Hindu and Muslim monarchies. The Hindu monarchies were united by religion and marital relations. Same was true for the Jagirdars and Zamindars. The Muslims were always viewd as foreign invaders who invaded Hindu land of India and never left.

@oldernu1250 She is just another Western “expert” on India who thinks that creation of Pakistan did not create any lasting scars in the Hindu mind. She thinks we Hindus are just pushovers who accepted partition of our thousands of years old land and moved on with life. She is mistaken and so is all people like her in the West.
