Mr Khemani says that he lost about 5 Lakh rupees of his father’s money in the stock market during Harshad Mehta scandal and yet he claims to belong to a Lower Middle Class background. In those days salary of senior government officers used to be maximum ten thousand rupees only.

@arnavzaveri6072 In 1992 when Harshad Mehta scandal came out, 4th Pay Commission was in force and consolidated salary of cabinet secretary to Government of India was nine thousand rupees per month.
