@rosey2304 No you are not. The thousands of Scots who lined the route from Balmoral Castle to the Palace of Holyrood House, and then up to St. Giles Cathrdal were living proof of the depth of feeling for the monarchy. As was the reaction to the mad Jaki at Muir of Ord.

@rosey2304 Yeah, right. All along Deeside, through Aberdeen, across the Mearns and Angus, round the edge of Dundee, across Fife and into Edinburgh. Nothing but tourists. Many of them watching the aerial acrobatics of the flying pigs, that also exist in your imagination.

@rosey2304 Be careful what you wish for. Australia had a referendum on abolishing the monarchy in 1999. The republicans lost 55% to 45% and they lost in every state.

@rosey2304 It was 2002, actually, when the Duke returned to full-time royal duties. Both he and his wife had attempted to lead "normal" lives, with "normal" jobs, but they were hounded by press intrusion, and gave up. Thast is why they have been so protective of their children's privacy. Get your facts straight, troll.

@rosey2304 Another illiterate who can't punctuate, and who has a shaky grasp on facts. Firstly, it's "you're" - it means "you are"; the possessive adjective is "your". Secondly, Prince Edward completed a third of the 12 month Royal Marine Course, and later, after a stint working with Andrew Lloyd-Webber, he founded Ardent Productions, which produced TV documentaries. These were not well received in the UK, but found ready audiences in the USA. The king was a serving naval officer, the Duke of York flew helicopters during the Falkland Conflict and the Princess Royal is a worlds class sportsperson. What, may one ask, are your achievements?

The rest of your rant is basically scatological garbage, but it is worth pointing out one thing. The Duke of York is accused of having carnal knowledge of a 17 year old girl in Florida, when he was 4O. Given the age of the girl, that is a criminal offence under Florida law, but in the neighbouring states of Georgia and Alabama there would be no case to answer. The Duke denies the accusation, but he has been tried by the tabloid press and found guilty in the court of public opinion. If the allegation is true, then there was a 23 year age gap, and the worst that can be said is that this is perhaps sleazy behaviour, but it is hardly a major offence, given that the age gap between the 45th President of the United States and his current (third) wife is 24 years. That, incidentally is the same wife who was recovering in hospital after the birth of their son, when her husband was enjoying a one-night-stand with an "adult film" actress called Stormy Daniels. So save your indignation for that scenario.
