The court cases were started while Rishi Sunak was still Prime Minister and the sentences handed down by the court have been criticized for being unduly harsh. The betting is that the sentences will be reduced on appeal, even though the general consensus is that Just Stop Oil are a bloody nuisance and their tactics convert nobody t otheir cause.
