Why?

So don't. Why tell us about what you can or cannot do?

That actually occurred before King Charles was born. The person most responsible for that calamity was Sir Winston Churchill.

@user__100 Try not to be more stupid than God made you. Churchill was the British Prime Minister from 1940 to 1945. The Bengal Famine took place under his watch and he did nothing to alleviate it.

@sergiolandz6056 It would be a far better place if commentators remembered that they are addressing an audience. I could not care less what Suzanne thinks about the coronation, and I doubt that anybody else does, including her immediate family,

Fun fact. On the Freedom Index, the USA ranks at number 15. Of the 14 countries that rank above the USA, NINE are constitutional monarchies, and FOUR of those have the same monarch - King Charles III. That may be why we are still crowing kings. They are better guarantors of your freedom than people like Number 45 in the USA.

@xbman1 You poor darling. The latest figures from The Guardian newspaper state that the Royal Family cost Canada an outrageous $1.55 a year per head. Are you really so hard up that you cannot afford half a cup of coffee?

The monarchy allows you to live in what the American Republican Party would have you believe is a Socialist dystopia, where the rich pay taxes; the poor receive health care; schools are places for education and not the sites of mass murder; and political debate, while lively, has not degenerated into gerrymandered one-party rule (see Florida, Texas and Tennessee).

A very stupid comment, and your grandmother would probably be ashamed that you know so little. Canada is a constitutional monarchy, so there is a monarch, and that monarch is King Charles III. Get used to it.
