  1.  @crysosisback7115  I would say that we all start out selfish and that there has to be some kind of event to break one away from that selfishness. This has historically been the act of having children. It's possible to stay solo and not end up selfish, just less likely. JD Vance (whom I don't care for) is right to be skeptical of politicians who don't have families.
