  1. I live in a simple, decent (relatively safe) neighborhood. Homes here have sold for as low as 40K and I recall one being listed for 20K a few years ago. I just depends on the area you choose. My home is probably worth 100K now, but it's big and quite nice...3BR, full sized kitchen, garage, patio. If you have to live in a leftist city/state you will pay up to 5x for the same house, just saying. (I'm in the burbs)
