@jayleeper1512 it’s really too bad that people didn’t stand behind a single third party candidate, so they could get that 5% of the vote. Some people even voted for RFK Jr, who had officially dropped out.

@jayleeper1512 Honestly, I am thinking that the even bigger problem is not how many parties we have, but the whole issue of these political lobbies. Even if you had ten parties, what’s the point if they’re all subject to subversion by these lobbies? This lady Dr. Stein has excellent character and convictions, and it is pathetic that more people didn’t support her, but even under two parties, if we didn’t have these lobbies basically sponsoring politicians, we would be much better off. A lobby is like having a corporate sponsor, it is like legitimized bribery.

@johnfellows689 I see, you’re thinking it’s too idealistic to say these things? If so, then I think you are too entrenched in the capitalist way of thinking. I am not a communist, but there must be another way to run the world aside from this terminally materialistic and exploitative way we have now. In the US, everything is about money. Hospitals, universities, even prisons are all money making business enterprises. The emphasis is always on ‘growth’ and quarterly returns. People can’t keep up with this. That is why they had to introduce all of these anti depressants and legalize even marijuana or worse, because people want to drop out. Young men would rather dedicate their lives to video games, than to families. And likewise, women would rather get out of the rat race and chase ‘excitement’ through only fans than to struggle with being in a middle class family. This way of thinking is destroying human civilization. Can you believe our government allowed this crisis between Russia and Ukraine? How many lives have been destroyed, and now how many generations until these people stop hating each other? Out government allowed and actually encouraged it to happen because war itself is a private business enterprise! We try to dignify it with terms such as ‘the defense industry,’ ‘private security company,’ and all this garbage. We need to rethink how we think about the world.

@ Men like Putin exist? What about men like Clinton, Bush, Cheney, Obama, or Lindsey Graham? Clinton maintained an embargo against Iraq that wouldn’t even allow them to Import medicine for cholera. Bush and Cheney sent the US military thousands of miles away to invade Iraq. They all sabotage and destabilize sovereign states like Libya and Syria, and Lindsey Graham was a political enemy of Trump until his first attacked Syria three months into his administration, and then called it ‘Presidential behavior.’ And why do you not include men like Netanyahu and the rest of the ethno supremacist lunatics in that colonial settler ethno state in your like of bad men and bad regimes? You’re just another fraud who can’t think for himself. Iran is Islamist, but they pose no threat to the west. Israel is ethno supremacist and is despised by the whole region it’s imposed itself on, and through its proxies (known as ‘lobbies’ in the US) has terminally corrupted western political systems. You don’t even know who the enemy is, you’re just some robot leaving his quips, and poorly thought through nonsense on this comments section. The west is in grave danger, not because of ‘men like Putin,’ and not because of Iran, Iraq or any other ‘Islamist’ state. Israel is the litmus test for intellectual integrity. If you can watch one year’s worth of settler’s sabotaging crops and property, one year of the IDF wearing lingerie and destroying lives, one year of ‘normal’ Israeli citizens blocking all aid to Gaza while they host raves, and one year of billionaire university donors and elites scrambling to shut down protests and have their servile western leaders panic over them, and are still talking this way, then you are not thinking clearly or objectively.
