@idonakash9169 There is a difference between an authoritarian system and a fascist system. Saudi, Iran, etc, are authoritarian.
In Israel there is a culture of paranoia (due largely to historical and ongoing injustices committed by the government and military), and thus a worship of the state, and its protector, the military.
In other states, they respect the military and all this, but the military is not neck deep in sadism and injustice.
Did you see that video from the WB checkpoint posted a few days ago? That sadistic soldier keeps trying to kick the man’s legs out from underneath him. Anywhere else in the world, that is disgusting behavior, but to the vast majority of Israelis, that is heroic behavior and should not be criticized, etc. Israeli culture will be its own doom. Once a people find that kind of behavior normal and good, they show there is something rotten in their society.

@idonakash9169 Those states they don’t worship the military, and many people despise the government. Israel the people may despise the particular prime minister (and I don’t even know if that’s true), but they overwhelmingly endorse the sadism and suffering that is being committed.
There is not anything like this in any middle eastern state. Citizens working to block aid; people laughing at destruction of homes, graveyards, schools, hospitals, and lives; checkpoints; separate roads for different people; ‘settlers’ tormenting neighboring villages; etc.
It’s just very ugly behavior, and it’s done by the citizens, the soldiers, and the government leaders. Iran, Egypt, etc, is nothing like that.

@idonakash9169 Brother you are talking about a group of 5-10 people, who after 15 years of living under lockdown, and otherwise have had their family homes taken from them and been cooped in refugee camps.
You are taking about them in the moments that they are witnessing their militia men returning with military vehicles and all this, and they are probably thinking this is the end of their life long nightmare.
That is very different from Israelis after six months now still thirsty for more carnage. Very different from even before Oct 7, West Bank Israelis burning down crops and beating up Palestinians.
In the incident you bring up, there are two questions you don’t ask: 1. Why do the people feel so much hatred in the first place? Have Israelis done anything to inspire that sentiment, or they are just innocent bystanders who have never acted sadistic over the past 80 years.
And two, why did they bring back this woman in the first place? I don’t know what happened to her, but my understanding is that they tried to get her to a hospital, rather than just leave her there injured.
It doesn’t excuse if someone deliberately harmed her, but I believe they were at least trying to get her to safety.
