@elkapitan75 It’s a big deal, it means that regular people, people who are apathetic or maybe not fond of Islam are even disgusted by what they’re seeing.

@elkapitan75 Not everybody is religious. Some people despise religion, for whatever reason, and some people maybe despise a particular religion perhaps because most of the people they’ve encountered from that religion don’t want to fit into their society, or whatever. I don’t know who this guy is, or where he is, but look around Europe and you’ll see that Muslim immigrants have given people plenty of reason to be hostility or skeptical towards Islam. Get out of your own head talking about I’m a person of faith and all of this. I went to one protest in the US, I saw maybe 5-7 Arabs, everyone else was just artist types, leftist types, non-conformist types, non-binary types, elderly people, people bringing their families and dogs, etc. They are not necessarily pro Islam, not necessarily even like it, but they are disgusted by what’s happening over there. It’s that simple, people don’t like all of this human suffering, especially when it’s their government driving it.

@elkapitan75 Brother, with all due respect I think what he is saying is a good thing. It is perfectly fine for people to have an aversion to Muslims, but still be so disgusted by the ethno-supremacy and brutality of Zionism, that they feel compelled to speak out against it. That shows people that by speaking out about this, you dont necessarily embrace or even like Islam, Muslims, Arabs, Palestinians, etc. Rather you just oppose evil. That is good enough for me.

@elkapitan75 Well, in the west, a lot of the people who are protesting against what’s happening are not even people of faith. They just don’t like what is happening to other humans and are speaking or acting out. This guy may not be pro-Islam, pro-Hams, or even pro-Palestinian, but he is against oppression and against ethno-supremacy. That is good enough. Meanwhile look at these people from KSA, UAE, Bahrain, etc, and they wish the Palestinians would just go away so that they can conclude their weapons deals with Israel. Weapons including spy technologies that they will use against their own people.

@elkapitan75 If a Muslim said, ‘Against IS, not for Yasidism, but what’s happening in Iraq is a crime,’ I would be fine with it. As for people having an aversion to Islam, many immigrants in Europe are the very cause of this.

@elkapitan75 Well, you’re wrong. I am a Muslim, and I am an immigrant, but from an era when immigrants tried to assimilate and build a life for themselves. When I look at some of these Muslim immigrants in, for example Britain, I am not surprised that some people don’t think well of them. I am from a different generation and there were not so many Muslims around even. We had a small Islamic center that would get maybe 20 people for the Jummah service, and these were all immigrants from different places, except for one convert family. These immigrants were respectable people, and nobody was wearing thobes and all of this. There was so few of us that nobody was making videos about this deviant group or that deviant group. It was a very different reality than what I see on videos nowadays. We were Americans who were Muslim, and that was it. I don’t want to go back and forth with you, but I and many other people do relate to what this OP is saying.

@meco4068 Well, there are many Muslims who don’t believe they’re allowed to do LGBTQ activities, but that doesn’t mean we have issues with or would not stand up for the people. I can’t speak for anyone but myself, and that is as an American Muslim. I see who goes to the protest marches, and it doesn’t look like Muslims. Even aside from that, when I walk into a coffee shop or whatever and the people have blue hair and all of this, nobody looks at me twice, and I have taken notice of that way before all of this situation. I don’t have any issue with LGBTQ people. Some of these other Muslims would say this guy is on the periphery and all of that, but so be it, I have issues with some of them anyway.
