I have said before that mercy is a very prominent theme in Islam. Everyday Muslims see sadism, the exact opposite of mercy, on the part of the IDF, the citizens blocking aid, and these fanatical settlers in the West Bank. The Arab governments may salivate at the idea of making weapons deals with Israel, but the people will despise both their regimes and Israel.
