@ghostgate82 Not necessarily, subsequent does not mean that they built on this in a way that makes it incompatible with what latter becomes apparent to be true. Example: Some explanations using aether still happend to be right to a certain degree (e.g. on reflection, polarization). I guess you could take the super-relativistic position of "nothing is right because not everything can't (reliably) be explained", but why would anyone do that?
