  1. 1.) Find a bone or something with DNA from a Roman senator. 2.) Look at the Y chromosome of it. 3.) Find a male with a sufficiently similar Y chromosome (you can calculate how many mutations would occur in how many generations on average). And tada you've probably found a descendant of this person (or a paternal cousin of that person) on the male line!
