  1. LOL! You're being dramatic! I've been in FL for 40+ yrs, in the Tampa area (Brooksville, Zephyhills, & mostly Pinellas) for 25+ yrs. it may rain somewhere in FL every day during rainy season, but it's generally not torrential downpours.. As far as hurricanes, Tampa has been extremely lucky- only one direct hit in recorded history (Port Charlotte received the closest hit recently- but still not Tampa. Direct hit surge in the bay will devastate us). Local Indian legend says we have a 'force field' (scientists ponder a 'magnetic' field), that has protected us.. Please prepare if it looks like it's headed your way, hon!! ~<3
