Comments by "Wolfs Winkel" (@wolfswinkel8906) on "President Vladimir Putin says Nato expansion 'violates' Russian security | BBC News" video.
As a former member of the USSR, Ukraine knew what joining NATO would mean for Russia and they let their nationalists pull them in that direction anyway.i have no sympathy for them. They should've remained militarily neutral like Kazakhstan and Moldova. The Budapest memorandum is active for Kazakhstan and Belarus, who didn't betray the security of Russia to NATO.

@peterbenko9395 "since they all want in" false. Of all the countries that joined since 1999, only Slovenia had a referendum about it. The rest were forced in by the fiat decisions of their political class.

Oh yes it obviously does expand against the will of the citizens of those countries. Only Slovenia had a referendum to join among all the countries that joined it since 1999, the rest were forced in by the fiat decisions of their political class.

@peterbenko9395 the alternative is not partaking in the madness of the iron curtain and being militarily neutral like all peace loving countries trying to provide for their people. The fact that one needs to spell such an obvious thing out is telling.

@Realist-Now don't be jealous of Finland now. They're allowed but you aren't, for historical, cultural and geographic reasons. For example Finland territory cannot intercept IRBMs to Brussels and the US over the eastern side of the Arctic circle. The battle lines of the Cold War criss cross over Ukraine and you are not allowed. Cope and seethe.

@andrewadams6905 I missed the part where I made excuses. The invasion is long overdue in my honest opinion, that's what I've always said. Edit: Putin never compared his invasion of Ukraine to Germany's invasion of Poland. I like how you snuck that in there deceptively thinking we won't notice. Don't make me expose you any further.

@Realist-Now permission DENIED. That's why 700k of your compatriots are garrisoning the phloem tissue of the shrubbery in the Donbass. When you come to your senses, you'll drop that ambition.

@peterbenko9395 denial truly is the last resort Cope strategy of the Ukraine bot farm.

This must be the kiddies corner of the comment section.

@peterbenko9395 I feel sorry for you, relying on denial as a last resort Cope strategy. State the date that the Czechs or Finns had a referendum to join NATO. I'll wait 🤡 You're free to use Google if you want, silly🤣

@z0s_Icebaker in what universe is Ukraine going to throw out a third of their population? I think Ukraine will lose the war and you will wake up from that dream with a jumbo headache.

@janb3625 I live in a country that hasn't fought a war since the 70s, but the last one we fought we lost almost a quarter of the population. We know what it means to live in peace with others, because we remember the price of war. You've lost that memory in Europe and you will learn it all over again. Personally I don't see why any of you should disrespect or betray the other after peace deals have been signed and deals made. I suspect it's an European ego itch that must be scratched or nothing will appease it. Please don't migrate. Stay there and fight the radiation with your people.

@janb3625 you're stupid lol. So your justification of joining NATO is because you had bad history with Russia even after all the treaties signed and deals made? Peace was never an option for you. What country are you from?
1
@josephnulley6808 that's what even the serial repeaters call themselves.
1
That's easy: their politicians apply after being induced or blackmailed by the state department. It never involves the peace loving citizens.

@powervr there's nothing to be afraid of Russia for because in the 8 years between the collapse of the USSR and the first wave of NATO expansion, Russia invaded or threatened no one. The threat is manufactured in the media and sustained by hawkish policies designed to draw Russia into a conflict trap which would collapse them.
