@RandomShart yes there is: Ukraine would join NATO in full and happily host nuclear strike threats against Russia just like NATO after the fall of the USSR and Warsaw Pact. At least Finland and Sweden have shown reluctance to host nukes but Ukraine is a different story- just listen to Zelensky during the Munich Security conference in February last year. This is Russia's red line.

@Vegan_Kebab_In_My_Hand because ukraine's land would be contaminated. Don't you care about ukraine's future?

Darwinism will come for Europe with people like you walking free and expressing thoughts.

@jackdripper5675 dude you better show some proof that Russia has been using DU in Ukraine or stop spreading lies.

@jackdripper5675 so you believe what someone says because he's got an impressive CV? Because suddenly human beings are infallible and perfect creatures once they possess good CVs, no proof needed right? What about those nameless "contacts" he referenced, so they have impressive CVs too? Try to think critically and maybe you won't fall for every pröpaganda whim and caprice.

So commit your armies to the war and get it over with.

Sanctioning Russia wrecked the economies of the West, guess what sanctioning China will do to the West. Poverty is your destiny.
1
@Vegan_Kebab_In_My_Hand no the risks are not low as DU is an active alpha and beta particle emitter that can contaminate soil, ground water, crops and transmute metal ores in the earth.

@HappyCynic "Everyone thought it would end in nuclear conflict" this is a lie. The USSR's need to control afghanistan is not nearly as pressing as Russia's need to keep Ukraine neutral and Sevastopol. USSR was much bigger and economically buoyant, Russia has its back against the wall surrounded by NATO and more desperate.
1
@tayler2396 then you don't know what NATO is. That's what the USSR thought just before they disbanded. "NATO won't do anything more" Russia sees this war was existential and that's what most westerners don't realize.
1
@tayler2396 keep telling yourself that. Russia will continue to react to NATO and Africa and Asia will continue to understand as neutral parties because we can see things clearly.
1
Because in nuclear winter, you will remember those warnings clearly and regret not taking them seriously.
1
@kevt3318 I don't think Russia will regret fighting back. It's you who will regret expanding a military alliance in peacetime.
1
@jackdripper5675 we're talking about the Ukraine war of 2023 and you're talking about 1985. Are you even literate? Show us the proof that Russia used DU ammo in Ukraine.
