Russell was the very first English speaking analyst of the Ukrainian civil war that I listened to. When the war broke out in 2022, before the mass censorship regime of YouTube began, his videos and interviews with the people of Donbass made me understand the human situation of the separatists. RIP Mr Bentley.

@TankandDimples nobody lives forever. He lived much longer than many other American soldiers that went to fight on Ukraine's side. Was discharged honorably from the US military, with a clean record and had a comfortable life in the US before setting out to fight for his conscience. A better man than you will ever be.

@leopolis5880 like Tucker Carlson? Everyone the US Establishment calls a traitor in 2024 was expressing an unpopular set of opinions they didn't like. That term has been abused beyond recognition.
