I believe the Russian strategy is to conserve manpower as much as possible, because they're coming up against well prepared defenses. Just as the Ukrainians lost massive numbers of personnel in the failed counteroffensive, the same could happen to Russia if they get too reckless. 2024 has only just begun, and it's not smooth sailing in Ukraine either with Zelensky trying to get rid of Zaluzhny showing they're buckling internally. Keep the faith. Russia will win.
