@Jakedelus not really. As long as Ukraine lies in the direct line between Moscow and Brussels, Russia can maintain its strategic missile deterrence with the center of NATO. Finland and Sweden are on the periphery of the potential all out exchange. And Finland has indicated they don't want to host US bases and nukes.

@monumentaltravel3745 the "2 ways" you stated don't guarantee that there will be no exchange between nuclear powers. You just like hearing the sound of your voice don't you? You don't seem to know how nuclear wars could be fought. Some random sub in an incognito location near the antarctic could launch missiles very cheaply. And with the Donbass sitting on $12T of resources according to Lindsey Graham , the costs could be repaid many times over. I told you that you weren't thinking an inch deep about any of this.

Because the Pentagon knows that what it'll take to defeat Russia will result in a strategic missile exchange between all major nuclear powers, so they decided to make money from the chaos with a limited proxy war. You'd need to give Ukraine F-35s, A-10s, guided missile cruisers and submarines and anti satellite weapons.
