they can exist together when nuclear armageddon is also an option. responsible people just want to live in peace, puppets and jokers just want to expand military alliances in peacetime

@ryngrd1 there was once upon a time when Russia simply asked NATO not to expand into Ukraine, there were no nuclear threats then, just 8 years of waiting for Ukraine to give these assurances to Russia. Back then the argument was "Ukraine can join any alliance they want". At this point only the people of Ukraine can tell if joining their neighbor's adversaries was worth the cost of the destruction of their country. And yes, there are worse stages of escalation beyond this point, some of which involve Ukraine losing fertile farmland for billions of years as radioactive isotopes decay. The stubbornness of the alliance ruined Ukraine, and it is what will utterly destroy it if care is not taken.

@ryngrd1 my friend, you are not Ukrainian are you? Like I said, it's Ukrainian people that will ask themselves these questions when the war is over and the devastation is complete, not either of us. What slavery is Ukraine under, when they have been an independent sovereign country since 1991? What slavery are you talking about, are they paying taxes or a percentage of their GDP to Russia? Are they represented by Russians at the UN? Do Russians make the decisions for them in their Parliament? Are they policed by Russia? If the answer to these questions is no, how can you say Ukraine is enslaved to Russia? This narrative is one of the most sublime disinformation tools used to justify provoking Russia by reckless people in the West.

"If you give them land, they’ll take more later" if we're talking about Russia, this is false.

@nozhki-busha NATO cannot defeat Russia in the field. You can't compare Russia's approach to Ukraine to their approach with NATO. It will almost immediately involve ICBMs. They are more ready for doomsday war than normal conventional war.

@briankristiansen821 what evidence? List one country that "gave Russia territory". You can't say Ukraine-Crimea because Russia didn't "take" their territory and there were no separatists in Crimea. Crimea simply had a referendum and decided to return to Russia in accordance with the 1921 treaty on the creation of the autonomous republic of Crimea, in response to the overthrow of Yanukovych's government. That's not "taking territory". Now list your example.

@briankristiansen821 yes there was a referendum in Crimea, in 2014. It was covered in CNN and BBC and the rest of the MSM, and not a single time was reference made to it's illegality or whatever, because referenda are tools used to deliver the fundamental human right to self determination. It's still on BBC's YouTube page. Go check, if you dare.

@mathivds21 the Crimean referendum of 2014 was televised, my friend. Nobody said it was rigged at the time. Video evidence is still available on YouTube. All you have to do is search, it's right here bud. 🤷♂️

@mathivds21 proof?

@maryanchabursky9148 the 1921 treaty on the creation of the autonomous republic of Crimea is binding only upon Crimea, and the 1921 constitution of the USSR is binding only upon the USSR which Ukraine was part of. If you can't understand the difference between these two documents then sorry I can't help you. The war will go on until Ukraine recognizes their independence as well as the other 4 oblasts, NATO can do their worst or go do one. Oh and self determination is a fundamental human right guaranteed by the international charter of the UN. Crimea and Donbass triggered it, the world recognizes it. Just like Kosovo When the war is over, you'll catch up.
