That's roughly 20% of Ukraine, an area of land larger than Italy. Recent reports suggest a new Russian offensive is taking place right now expanding the Luhansk front by 20km.

  8. Russia took Bakhmut and Ukraine wasted thousands of lives trying to recapture it. Frontline doesn't have to change much when the military potential of Ukraine is in parabolic decline.
