IMF loan interest rates are 25% while Chinese loans are 6%. Do you honestly think there's any basis for comparison? China built trails and ports in several African countries. What has the West built in Africa recently?

@ajc5479 the interest rates IMF gave to President Jonathan of Nigeria were bang on 25%. As a Nigerian I would know, it was a subject of much debate in 2012. Irresponsible govts take on loans they can't pay back, because China has few restrictions on the amount that can be loaned, maybe that's why they can't pay back in time? Ask the habitual debtors in Italy (with the gall to walk away from the BRI at the same time).

@TmanRock9 yes we already know the reason why: because Africa is filled with dictators that the West tolerates because they are useful for purpose. These dictators don't care about their people, only their pockets, and and they stash their loot in western countries that give them legitimacy while their people suffer.
