  1.  @alkoyyy  in 1999, Russia had lived 8 years in normal relations with the rest of Europe. So what threat did they pose, to warrant the first wave of expansion?

  2. They know Americans are watching and judging them. They've all been hit by sanctions and they're probably thinking there's more to come. They're not gonna talk so freely.

  4.  @vesko85  between 1999 and 2022 is a long time. I'm sure a lot of things happened in that time to justify your opinion. I'm more focused on the singular instant when the balance of power after the cold war was tilted in Europe .
