They're not wrong though.

@aryzen2781 they're actually right in the sequence of military expansions in peacetime that ruined the peace in Europe. You explain how they're wrong.

@Ultra-Violet "countries want to join because of Russia" makes no sense considering the fact that Russia was at peace with Europe from the fall of the USSR in 1991 until the first wave of NATO expansion in 2000. Not a single war with anybody, just trying to trade and coexist. Do the people at NATO not have the common sense to decide who join them or not? You aren't thinking very deeply about this.

@Ultra-Violet if you cannot stick to the relevant time-frames between periods of war, (in this case the gap between the last war in Europe and this one), in order to work towards a solution for peace, then you might be the one that has a problem and an unhealthy obsession with war.

@megaTherionXX did they, really? Biden has been blaming the economic collapse and inflation on the war with Russia instead of upping production. Why is the US not producing, did Putin seize their licenses?

@amiable_monster ask the people that expand military alliances in peacetime.

Another day another instance of Daniil simping for western attention.

@aryzen2781 USA doesn't dictate what Cuba does- but Russia allowed Cuba remain neutral for the sake of peace in 1963. That common sense is lacking in 2023 America, and this is why we have war today. One more thing. You haven't proven how they were wrong. You distracted me from my initial question.

@jaybe2908 and so to "prevent going back to those days" is to bring a nuclear armed alliance to Russia's doorstep? The Poles and Baltics don't seem to be very reasonable people if they think threatening Russia will guarantee peace. In any case, Russia didn't invade them, so there's no precedent for the aggression they've been so paranoid about.

@kaliyur9802 are you seriously bringing up USSR stuff when we're talking about the Russian federation? This discussion is above your pay grade.

@aryzen2781 Serbia didn't attack NATO first, neither did Iraq, Libya or Afghanistan. That's contradicting your position. Now that they've proven their offensive capacity, why do you still think they're "not a threat to Russia" when they expand into countries surrounding Russia, with the potential to arm them with nukes and strike missiles? Search "Putin's warning full speech" and see the video from 6 years ago on Inessa S's channel where Putin explained NATO's missile hosting policy combined with US withdrawal from strategic arms limitation treaties. And you say NATO's not a threat to Russia?

Are they supposed to love their enemies?
