  1. NATO stopped being a defensive organisation when it failed to disband after the USSR disbanded. It accomplished it's mission, and then became an offensive military alliance expanding in peacetime, invading other countries like Serbia and Iraq, growing an unstoppable hegemony.

  2. 1:25 "if the citizens of Finland support it" well they don't. Niinisto famously said in April 2022 "NATO referendum is no longer necessary". This was a fiat political decision by the ruling class, just like most countries that joined NATO after 1999.

  5.  @danzoom  in Finland's case, as well as with most of the other countries that joined NATO after 1999, the decision to join NATO was a fiat political action made exclusively by their ruling classes. In April 2022 Finnish president Niinisto famously said, "the referendum to join NATO is no longer necessary". You're technically right that nobody forced Niinisto into doing this, but it was not a sovereign national citizens collective decision.

  6.  @scandinavianstacker8485  I've not been able to verify your claim because you gave no names and coordinates, but now that Finland is a member of NATO, I believe those bases (if they exist) are going to be expanded, fortified and equipped with nuclear strike deterrents. That's the real "pushing" that Finland should "fear then" according to the words of Joe.

Only 19 percent of respondents said yes to Finnish membership in the alliance. This figure has fallen noticeably compared to corresponding polls in 2015 and 2014. When asked if Sweden were to join NATO would they back Finland also taking up membership, 30 percent said yes.   9. @TFactory the West ignores protests that don't fit their narratives. It's not new at all. The Germans and French for example will tell you the are no protests against NATO, but a quick Google search will reveal several over the course of the year. Different countries have their mechanisms for isolating and smothering anti government demonstrations.
