@mattivirtanen4043 Ukraine had 8 years to implement the Minsk Agreements but they used the opportunity to arm and fortify themselves. This is the result. Is autonomy for the Donbass alone, such a bad thing?

@mattivirtanen4043 you didn't answer my question. "Is autonomy for donbass alone, as a federating unit within Ukraine, such a bad thing"? We have to examine cost-benefit of fighting wars before knowing where to point fingers. You westerners talk a lot about freedom and democracy, well here's a classic convergence of those ideals (withy respect to the preservation of culture and values) and suddenly it appears it's not such a good thing.

@mattivirtanen4043 well I don't know much about Aland, but Ukraine and Russia agreed on the kind of autonomy Donbass was supposed to have, that's why it was called the Minsk AGREEMENT. All of a sudden Ukraine decided to play games. Everything that happened after that is Ukraine's fault. The people of Donbass don't want to live on their knees, with their kids in the basements while the other Ukrainian kids go to school. They only wanted to be free. If you care about freedom, donbass is the priority.
