@randlerobbertson8792 the Budapest Memorandum was nullified the instant Ukraine expressed any desires to join NATO. Doesn't make any sense for Russia to protect a rogue state that has decided to join its adversary's military alliance.

@Leeedy_1 truth is noone in Russia ever gave any indication of what was going on at the moment of the invasion, Zakharova and Lavrov even denied there was anything going on for the first few days. This story about someone claiming to "take Ukraine in 3 days" is a Western MSM invention. No one I asked could ever show me a video clipping of Putin or anyone ever specifying a timeframe for Russia to conclude its "military operation" or so they called it. The first casualty of war is the truth.
