@MacLeeland he had no gun to his head in January, in fact, it was specifically because NATO had begun to pump Ukraine full of javelins and stingers from November last year that Zelensky became cocky enough to refuse negotiations. Putin has been talking about this particular treaty for 8 years, also with Zelensky's predecessor Poroshenko.

@slg4260 The whole world will pay a price for this especially Europe. Sanctions will inflict the most harm on Russia but it's not a one way street by any means. And Russians are resilient. It's the Ukrainian people that will suffer the most as they don't have any protection against what's coming. They should've ousted the clown when they had the chance, immediately after the EU declined his request to join. That alone should tell you something.
