  1. Ukraine has been in close relations with NATO since 2010. They've been continuously armed and trained since 2014, getting battle experience against the separatists in Donbass, digging extensive networks of tunnels and trenches across the front and getting even more weapons as the war went on. They prepared for this. Sometimes, it's smarter to negotiate and not always label things negatively. Kazakhstan seems really independent from Russia, yet they're close. Nobody's asking what they're doing right. Same with Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Dagestan. They're just doing their own thing. Trump was right when he said, "our leaders are duumb".
