Senate was not wise saying what they said but if you listened they said shouldn't. That the pres. Shouldn't nominate a person in the last nine months of his 8 yrs as he will be gone. Bottom line is that the law says he can nominate only. There is no guarantee he will get his man. The senators are more representative of the states rather than one man from wherever he is from that is why they have the last word as they are more representative of all sectors of the country.
